Parish Notices Sunday 18th June 2017

The Rector writes  ’As an Eco Congregation, we were delighted to welcome the Motions put forward at our Diocesan Synod last week which highlight the need to think and actually DO something about the Environment. The 5th Mark of Mission as defined within the Anglican Church is ‘To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth’ and the Motion which passed unanimously  ’Requests the Diocesan Council to facilitate consideration throughout the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross of practical ways to give effect to this fifth of the Five Marks of Mission in every aspect of ministry and mission in the Diocese’ ……. I have underlined the words ‘give effect’ …time to get cracking ! ‘

THANK YOU  Jean Buttimer writes; ‘This is just a short note to say a big, big thank you to all who supported my Coffee Morning which was held in the Rectory last week in aid of the Time for Tilara Fund.  Tilara is a 6yr. old little girl who has to undergo an operation in the USA.    A total amount of 1116 Euro was raised.’
