Directions to St John’s
You can approach Monkstown from the South Ring (N25) via Rochestown and Passage West, or else from Carrigaline on the N28 via Shannonpark Roundabout, following the signs for the cross-river ferry. In the middle of Monkstown, there is a dinghy park with little boats on your right. Opposite this is a green island with a bus shelter on it. At the north end of the green island there is a road heading away from the coast. Turn up here. The road forks immediately. Take the right fork up the hill. St. John’s is on your left about 50m up the hill. There is some on-street parking on the left side of the road near the pedestrian entrance gate to the church. A little further up the hill is the vehicle entrance. It is easier to approach the vehicle entrance coming down the hill than coming up, so if you wish to park in the church grounds, continue up the hill some 200m and turn in the entrance to the school on the left and come back down the hill to the church.
