Opening Service in St Mary’s Church, Preacher: the Rt Revd Dr Paul Colton, Bishop of Cork, Cloyne & Ross. Rededication of the recently renovated Parish Hall and dedication of the 4 Gospels Book in memory of the late Vivienne Sharpe. Choir : The Vicars Choral

Flower Festival in St Mary’s Church Theme: ‘Flowers through the Ages’
Opening Service at 7:30pm on Friday 14th, followed by Wine & Cheese in the Parish Hall
Open Saturday 15th 10am till 5pm and Sunday 16th 2pm till 5pm for viewing. Teas & Coffees served in the Parish Hall
We hosted a group of 20 people from our link Parish of Perton in the UK.

Launch of ‘History of St Mary’s Church’ Book (edited by Lesley Roberts and produced by Gandon Editions) by Dr Alicia St Leger in the Parish Hall. Dorothee Robert’s wonderful Painting of St Mary’s Church was raffled on the night and the Church Silver Plate was on display.
February 2024
Sunday 4th after the 11am Service
An Oak tree to remember the Bicentennial year was planted and a Time Capsule was buried.
Wednesday 7th 7:30pm
Closing Evensong Service, The Rt Revd Dr Paul Colton. Preacher was the Archbishop of Armagh preacher, the Most Revd John McDowell. The Choir of St Fin Barre’s Cathedral sang and 27 children from St Mary’s School sang a specially commissioned piece written by Mr Peter Stobart for the occasion. The Dedication of the Reredos, Credence Table and the Bicentennial Quilt took place during the Service. An Oak tree was planted by the Bishops in the Churchyard after the Service to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Rt Revd Dr Paul Colton becoming bishop of Cork, Cloyne & Ross. All this was followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall
