Parish Notices Sunday 18th November 2012

The Rector writes- ‘I would like to invite you to the Rectory next Sunday 25thNovember.  I will be having an ‘Open House’ from after the 11am Service until    4 pm and all are welcome to come along and enjoy fellowship and                               refreshments.  We have designated this particular Sunday (which is the lastSunday of the Liturgical year ‘Christ the King’) as our annual Gift Day when we intend celebrating all of the gifts we have within the parish.  At the Rectory we hope to have all of the diverse groups within the Parish who will explain all that they do. The Sunday School, the Junior Choir, the Mothers’ Union, the Youth Group, the Select Vestry, the Parish Renewal Team, The Liturgy Group, the Theological Book Circle, the Choral Group , CAMEO , the Home groups and so on.  With the aid of modern technology, we will be able to see visually all the wonderful events of the last year!  Please do come along and think about how you can help ; whether it is by offering some of your own valuable time to a parish endeavour,  by contributing to the parish finances with a gift of money, or by committing to uphold the work of the parish in prayer.  We are a community of people who aim to advance the kingdom of God here in Carrigaline and Monkstown, now in this year of our Lord 2012.  We aim to do this , with the help of God, by giving of ourselves in whatever way we can. Thank you for being part of this community and for all that you already do and give. I hope to see you next Sunday 25th…. With all God’s blessings,  Elaine.’
