Parish Notices Sunday 21st January 2017
The Rector writes ‘ This year we will once again be using the Bible Association of the Church of Ireland (BACI) Lenten Studies. We have found them excellent in the past and this year looks like being no different! Based on the 5 Anglican Marks of Mission, the 2018 theme is entitled “As the Father sent me, so I send you” (John:20.21) the five studies focus in turn on the TELL, TEACH, TEND, TRANSFORM, TREASURE aspects of mission, moving from the teaching and pastoral care required after initial conversion to the wider social and environmental challenges of the Gospel. The writers are the Revd Jack Kinkead, the Revd Lesley Robinson, Mr Philip McKinley, Canon Paul Houston and Mr David Ritchie of the RCB. We will begin next month on 21st February at 8pm in the Parish Hall (following the Lenten Evening Prayer which is on Wednesdays at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church during Lent).’
