ST MARY’S INDOOR BOWLING CLUB 2018/19 SEASON
St. Mary’s Indoor Bowls Club re-opens on Tuesday 4th September at 7.45pm in St Mary’s School Hall. New members welcome. For enquiries contact Irene McLoughlin 021 4377298 or Henry Forbes 087 2035000.
As a local church representative for Christian Aid, John Sweeney will take part in the annual Sheep’s Head Walk on Saturday 1st of September. He would be happy for any company or if preferred some sponsorship for completing the 16 KM Poet’s Way Route. He can be contacted on 021-4859826.
Taking part in the Sheep’s Head Hike is a great way to raise money for our global neighbours and challenge yourself at the same time. Registration : To save time on the day, we encourage participants to pre-register however, on-the-day registration is available from 11am at Kilcrohane community Hall.

St Fin Barre’s Cathedral will be hosting a Come and Sing Choral Evensong on Saturday 15th September.
Singers from across the diocese are encouraged to support this event and all abilities are most welcome!
There will be a rehearsal at 2pm and the service itself is at 5pm.
Tea and coffee will be served at 4.15pm.
Music will follow shortly to those who reply.

Transcribed beneath verbatim is the opening entry to be found in the book of minutes of meetings of the Select Vestry of St. Mary’s Church, Carrigaline, recording the content of meetings held from Saturday, 5th April,1834 to Wednesday, 26th April, 1950.
‘Parish of Carrigaline, Co. Cork, April the 5th 1834.
At a Vestry held on this day in the parish Church of Carrigaline, at the hour of twelve o’clock, pursuant to legal notice for the purpose of appointing Church Wardens for the ensuing year, and for assessing such sums of money on the Parish as may be necessary, and authorized by the Act of Geo. the fourth, Chap.72.
It was resolved that the sum of £86.16.7 1/2 be assessed for the ensuing year for the undermentioned purposes. Viz.
Installment due to the Board of first fruits £62.0.7 ½
Clerk’s Salary 10.0.0
Sexton’s Salary 7.0.0
For providing Bread and Wine for Communion 1.0.0
For two Books of Common Prayer for the use of the Church 2.10.0
For staining the walls & ceiling of the Church 2.0.0

Resolved that the incoming Church Wardens, James French and Darby Mc.Morice [?] be appointed apploters to applot the same.
